Empowering You As A Parent – How NLP can improve the bond…
Posted by admin on Aug 3, 2011 in Blog, NLP, NLP Practitioner | 0 commentsParenting should be fun, empowering and intuitive. A joyful experience of the incredibly close bond that only a parent and child can know. No matter how big your little people are, there’s always time to be a better parent – no matter how great (or otherwise) you feel you already are …

improved relationships with your children are realistic and achievable using nlp
What are your beliefs about being a parent? Have you confidence in your skills and ability to give your child the best experience and upbringing? Are you able to really communicate with your child or sometimes do you feel stressed that you don’t feel good enough or frustrated that you seem a million miles apart and wonder what went wrong?
I’m just listening to Jeremy Vine; what an interesting show about depression and parenting prompted by the inquest into the suicide of Susan Talboy, who first murdered her two children because she feared she couldn’t be the perfect parent. Mrs Talboy suffered mental illness; however this sad story made me think about how many mums and dads out there also question, or worse, fear their perceived lack of parental ability.
I’m not a parent; I made that informed decision many years ago. However it takes little empathy to know that being a parent, bringing children into the world, weaning them, nurturing them physically and emotionally, loving them, imparting values that will ensure today’s little people become tomorrow’s adults empowered with morals and behaviour to become the best they can be – that has to be the hardest and most demanding job in the world.
Maybe you use your own parents as role models – or roles not to model. Perhaps you go to parenting classes for practical skills. What can you do to bring out the best in yourself and your abilities so that you can give the best to your kids?
NLP is a perfect way to deal with any limiting beliefs you may have about your abilities; to understand your values and beliefs as a parent; to learn to build exquisite rapport with your child to really get on their wavelength; to be able to fine tune your ability to read your child and see what’s really going on; to master the art of knowing how to communicate with them in the most effective way and even to determine and improve their learning strategies.
Call us at Edge NLP and let’s talk about NLP Practitioner training and how it will improve the life you lead with your family. How great will it feel to experience a new found closeness and harmony at home, to see yourself as a parent as close to perfect as it gets within your own model of the world?
Be amazing today …
